Amazing Stories

I forgot to write last week so this week will have to be an extra long update in the life of Greg. I was upset about Purdue, skipped a few practices, have SAT's next week....

Purdue lost to Notre Dame last weekend and the lost just proved again how bad Curtis Painter really is. He makes horrible decisions even when he has no pressure on him. I'm bored so im going to find random pictures and then act like I am a person in it.

In this picture I have caught a beautiful fish in the St. Marys river. One day I was floating up stream on a speed boat and all of a sudden the boat started a rockin. It was rocking left and right until out of the corner of my eye I saw the most beautiful fish I will ever see. The fish was about 6 feet long and weighed over three tons.

As soon as I saw this amazing feat, I decided I want to catch this sucker. So I told my wife to put the boat into full throttle and chase down that massive fish. So with spear in hand we sped down the St. Mary's river at 60 mph for about an hour before we caught up to the beast.

I took one deep breath and dove at it with my spear. My spear missed his heart and I had to make a quick decision. Keep holding on to the spear and risk my life or hold onto the spear and go for a wild ride. I decided to the match the beast and hold on.

Let me be the first to tell you that this monster was not about to just give up after having a spear stabbed all the way through its body and a 185 pound human hanging on to the spear. It dragged me all the way to the origin of the St. Mary river in the highest of the highest mountains. That mountain being Mount Yummycaca in Yummycaca, Indiana.

Mount Yummycaca is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see. The fish was swimming with me connected to the spear and then all of a sudden it said something. "Hey you get off my back and be my friend," said the scaly creature in a very deep confounding voice.

I replied, "Ok, I would love to have a fish for a friend, only if I can take a picture with you to prove we are friends." The fish of course wanted to be my friend so I took him out of the water told him to smile and my wife who had followed the fish all the way back to the top of Yummycaca took the picture. I then through the fish back in the water and now we meet once every month to discuss our friendship and return to magical mount Yummycaca.

Camp Crosley

Well, at this last minute desperation to get to 1800 words I'll talk about my upcoming weekend. The last week was another week of get home after 10 P.M. But next week my work schedule starts to tune down. I'm only working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Tonight I am going to Camp Crosley with the swim team. I am a part of the SWAC team even though I haven't been to any afternoon practices because of work. I enjoy Camp Crosley; there are a lot of team activities and we get to know each other better. However, Saturday morning I am leaving Camp Crosley early to go to the Purdue - Oregon game. Purdue is a major underdog in this match up due to the fact that Oregon is a nationally ranked team; Oregon's running back and their secondary are some of the best personnel in the country. The secondary is one of the fastest I have ever seen and I can't wait to see how Curtis Painter and our sub par wide recievers react to the pressure. On Sunday, I am going to my work to play racquetball with friends. We've all been talking about doing it but Sunday I think we will finally do it.
Gotta go get to camp crosley, have a good rest of your weekend jankowski...Lets GO BOILERS!

Criminal Grammar

The first day of the NFL season is today. And I slept through the first half of the games. The last week has been very tiring after getting at most six hours of sleep each night. Monday was labor day, so I had just arrived home from vacation. Then the rest of the week I didn't get home till ten o'clock because of work. After work I would typically just pass out, but Wednesday night I stayed up and watched the Republican Convention.
The Republican Convention was very interesting. When I got home Rudy Giuliani was speaking and he was just ripping the Democrats. It was actually quite funny what he was saying about Obama. My favorite quote from Giuliani was, "change is not a destination, just as hope is not a strategy." This quote wasn't ripping the Democrats necessarily but was just a quote that I liked.
Then during school on Thursday and Friday we played a game in composition where it was possible to lose points for our team. My team consists of Derek, Jordan, Patrick, Chris, and Kyle. We dominate competition and any chance our teacher gets to help the other teams he does it. So every time my team would raise our hands first he would call on another team and then we would lose points. That day we ended up going from first place to last place.
Then Friday night was probably the best high school football game I have ever seen. Homestead ended up winning the game on a last minute drive with a touchdown by Jamar. Homestead won 20-19. Before the game all of my senior friends and I tailgated and some of us painted for the game. We even got the band to cheer! After the game I went to a friends house and hung out. However I was obligated to sleep at a kids house thats on the swim team.
I showed up at the kids house at one in the morning thankfully none of them minded my tardyness. In the morning we had to walk a mile in her shoes. All the boys on the swim team walked a mile in 4 inch red high heels. It hurts the toes of your feet like crazy. That is one event I hope to forget about because it was very embarrasing to walk in women's size 15 heels.
